to support predetermined gravity load capacities, thus expediting concrete
masonry construction for both the commercial and residential contractor.
When filled with concrete grout they form a composite beam system that
has added load carrying capacities.
Additionally, precast concrete lintels offer time and financial advantages
over cast-in-place tie beams. Many designers like the same texture and
aesthetic characteristics of precast concrete lintels since they are similar
to those of concrete masonry units.
